Everyone is here now. The Woebkenbergs, and Kevin Johnson.

The hotel wi-fi is poor, and only works in the lobby. So that is putting a crimp into things regarding sending photos.

We got bags of goodies such as a shirt, cap, program, and so forth.

When the contestant bags were distributed, Jon Stenberg also brought out the big box of motors that had been shipped over from the US (legally) and some other motors and practice reloads that had been bought from European distributors.  That does not include special motors such as Czech Deltas and Serbian motors that were delivered at the WSMC.

Some took the afternoon easy, others worked on models or gear to prepare. Also, engines were tested today. All the engines passed, including some S8 motors a few of us had been concerned about.

Then we had dinner at the hotel, as part of the meals all WSMC participants eat. At that time, Mary Roberts of Estes Industries gave each person in the U.S. group a special Estes commemorative pin for the 2010  WSMC.

Tomorrow (Sunday) is practice day. And Sunday night, opening Ceremonies which are set to run from 8 PM to 12 Midnight. Since I am flying S8E/P Monday, I will need as much sleep as I can get, so I will not be able to post a report about the opening ceremonies. And I cannot be sure we will be back from practice in time for me to do any report or photos before we have to leave for the opening ceremonies. I'll try, but no guarantees.

Got breakfast at the Crystal Hotel in Belgrade, before taking a bus to the contest site in Irig.

We are now at the hotel Termal, in Irig. As I type this, it is too early to check in yet.

We last heard that the Woebkenbergs were in Paris, waiting for the flight into Belgrade. A bus will go to pick them up.

Kevin Kuczek's luggage was found in Chicago, due to be delivered to the Hotel Termal late tonight or Sunday morning. John Hoccheimer's luggage was found and he has it now.
