A view of a train station, thru the window of the bus during the drive from Irig to Belgrade |
Removing luggage from the bus.
There was so much luggage that some had to go inside the bus, stored in seats in the back. |

Saturday morning,
The Woebkenbergs and Moses families left separately. Most of the rest took the bus to Belgbrade. We checked in to the Crystal hotel, where we had stayed on Friday night a week ago.
Some took it easy at the hotel, others went out looking around.
Unfortunately, no hobby shop search. It seems the best one to go to, which may have had some rocket kits, closed at 3 PM, shortly after we had checked in.
Sally Vinyard, Mrs Berk, Todd Schweim, Trip Barber, and I went walking around in the Square, and looking for souvenirs. After awhile, Trip, Todd, and I went by ourselves to the Belgrade Fortress.
It was interesting to see as regards the fortress, and also for the views of the Danube and surrounding areas of Belgrade.
About 6:30 PM, nearly everyone made it to a restaurant for dinner together. The food was pretty good, and there was a lot of good conversation.
Some of us leave early, and will be taking a bus at 3:30 AM. So, many of us have said our goodbyes since we will not see the others who leave later in the morning.
I plan to write something else after getting home Sunday.... but I may be too beat to get to it till sometime Monday. |
